One thing is with tractors they can carry a large amount but Require Biofuel to run (cant remember if it can run on coal) it can run on coal. my setup was to just split the coal from the mine to the fuel and transport input of the station. then at the receiver station i did the same (splitting the output to the fuel input and to the actual power plants). that worked like a charm.
